CareAR Assist Interactive Web Demo

The Problem

CareAR, a division of Xerox, builds augmented reality software with a straightforward mission: make expertise accessible. Their Assist product connects field technicians to remote experts over live-stream video from the job site. Both the technician and the expert can interact in real time with AR annotations, collaborating to solve problems the technician couldn’t resolve independently.

The challenge was communicating that value on the web. Assist is a mobile application, and the experience of using it — the live video, the annotations, the real-time collaboration — doesn’t translate to a static screenshot or a product description. Potential enterprise clients landing on the Assist page needed a way to feel how it worked before committing to a conversation with sales.

What We Built

A fully interactive web demo embedded directly on the CareAR Assist landing page. Visitors could experience how the product worked in a highly interactive and responsive way, in the browser, without downloading anything.

The technical implementation matched the complexity of what it was simulating. In-app features that required motion graphics were rebuilt as animations in Adobe After Effects, then embedded in the page using JavaScript and Lottie. Features like the screen capture and screen share tools were replicated using jQuery animations and HTML5 video, creating a convincing interactive facsimile of the actual application behavior.

The entire demo was packaged as a WordPress plugin so CareAR’s web team could drop it anywhere in their Divi-built site using a single shortcode. Paste the shortcode, and the page loads all graphics, scripts, and assets in a clean, fully mobile-responsive layout. No configuration required on their end.

The result was a sales tool that worked at the speed of a link. Enterprise buyers could evaluate the platform’s core value proposition immediately, on their own terms, without scheduling a demo or getting on a call first.

The Outcome

The interactive demo gave enterprise buyers a hands-on feel for the Assist platform directly from the landing page, converting visitors to leads without requiring a sales call or app download. CareAR's web team could embed it anywhere in their Divi-built site with a single shortcode.
